Introduction

Yu Yeonjung (유연정) is the Main Vocalist and Maknae of the girl group Cosmic Girls under Starship Entertainment. She first debuted as a contestant on the idol trainee show 'Produce 101', which filmed from January to April in 2016. She ranked eleventh overall, qualifying her to be a member of the group I.O.I. as the main vocalist, and debuted with the group on May 4, 2016 with the song 'Chrysalis'. I.O.I was dissolved on January 31, 2017 as their contract lasted for only one year. They held a farewell concert on January 29th 2016, when they released their third and final single 'Downpour'

On July 11, 2017, it was announced that Yeonjung would be joining WJSN (Cosmic Girls) as their thirteenth member. Yeonjung debuted as a member of WJSN on August 17, 2016 with their second mini-album 'Secret'.

In September 2019, she became a contestant on the vocal reality survival show 'V-1' and on September 15th, she won the final round, becoming the winner of the show.
