We've got some girl group Brand Recognition chart rankings a week into February, and some tides have turned and there are some major changes to the top five spots!

Coming in at first place is Red Velvet! They have managed to dethrone TWICE, who have sat at number one on the girl group Brand Recognition charts for four consecutive months.

Red Velvet has had a very strong start in 2018, with the release of their repackaged album, The Perfect Red Velvet on January 29th. The album's title track, 'Bad Boy', has received over 1 million likes in less than a week, and has so far been viewed over 32 million times. The single also got its' first music show win on Show Champion two days ago.

Coming in at number two is unsurprisingly TWICE, always a dominant force amongst idol groups in K-Pop. But spots 3-5 are where things have gotten very interesting.

Coming in at number 3 is MOMOLAND, who have been raking in the music show wins with their song 'Bboom Bboom' the title track of their third EP Great! 'Bboom Bboom' netted MOMOLAND's first music show wins and the group has seen a notable increase in popularity, since the success of their comeback EP.

MOMOLAND knocked down last month's 3rd placeholder, Oh My Girl. 2018 has definitely been Oh My Girl's best year thus far, with their latest release, 'Secret Garden' netting them both their first music show win and #1 on the music charts. It'll be interesting to see where Oh My Girl goes from here.

Rounding out the top five, is the legendary Girls' Generation, climbing up 8 spots from number 13 last month. Their placement comes as a bit of a surprise since the group has not yet been active in 2018. The music video for their iconic song, 'Gee' has recently hit 200 million views, so perhaps that has something to do with it.

K-Pop is heating up and it's only February! I can't wait to see what happens next!
