On August 3, HyunA and PENTAGON's E'Dawn personally confirmed that they were in a relationship and had been dating for two years. This followed an initial denial from Cube Entertainment on August 2. The agency had also responded to rumors that PENTAGON's Hui had been dating (G)I-DLE's Soojin, to which Cube stated that the two had previously been dating but were no longer in a relationship.
Triple H performed on KBS's “Music Bank” as planned on August 3 but changes have been made to their schedule on August 4. The unit group was set to have a fansign event at 7 p.m. KST, with the list of attendees scheduled to be announced on 10 p.m. KST on August 3. However, Cube Entertainment made an announcement on August 4 that said, “The Triple H fansign event that was scheduled for today has been cancelled due to internal affairs. We apologize to everyone who applied for the event,” and posted a link for those who wished to get a refund for the albums they purchased.
Triple H was also scheduled to appear on MBC's “Music Core” on August 4. A notice was posted for the unit group's pre-recording event on August 3, but following the official statements regarding the members' relationships in the afternoon, Cube Entertainment posted a notice that read, “The pre-recording that had been previously scheduled has been cancelled due to internal affairs. We apologize for the sudden cancellation.” Triple H has also been removed from the roster of performers on the “Music Core” website.

Oh wow, the backlash has already started. I actually wasn't expecting any but guess Kpop industry is just really something else. Not so much of a fan of the group or them individually but I do enjoy some of their music.

Why would Cube still deny it when it already came from the idols themselves? They're just making a fool out of themselves.

Do they really have to do it ? I thought many are actually cheering on Hyuna x Edawn though? I guess it's only international fans?

International fans are definitely the most supportive ones. There are supportive korean fans too, but the majority isn't just up for it.

I'm all for idols being allowed to date but I kind of understand the hate they're getting. And it's not just because I have delusions of grandeur and was actually thinking I can date an idol. It's just as a fan, you kind of feel like you were lied to. Deceived.
I remember a clip of E-Dawn where he mentioned never having dated before and I found him adorable. I was thinking how it'd be sooo cool once he gets to date. Then I find out that he has been dating. And that kind of makes me feel...stupid. Lied to. Deceived.
I get why he had to lie. Doesn't make being lied to feel any better though. So, yeah. I'm sad that Pentagon is getting a hit for this even though they were just starting to get traction. But people automatically labelling people who lost interest or felt hurt as losers who had delusions of dating oppas is also just unfair.

Oooh I remember that clip! He even said it right in front of Hyuna. She cracked up so hard and none of us had no idea what it really meant until now lmao.

Yeah. Now when I watch it, I just see E-Dawn lying to fans. He didn't have to say he's never dated. It was an unnecessary lie and that kind of really bothers me.
