The former AKB48 member Takahashi Juri is making her debut in Korea.
It was recently revealed that Juri had graduated from AKB48 and was preparing to debut in a new girl group under Wollim Entertainment. She participated last year on Mnet's "Produce 48", but wasn't able to debut in IZONE.
Juri said that she was very nervous, as this is the first time in AKB48 [for a member to debut in Korea]. She said that after not being able to debut in IZ*ONE, Woollim Entertainment called her and she talked to them every day before deciding to graduate from AKB48.
From the start, Juri didn't want to graduate from AKB48 and wanted to do activities at the same time, but in the end she decided to focus on one at the same time. She revealed that she talked with Akimoto, who said he'd cheer for her in whatever she wanted to do.
We wish Juri a lot of success in her new start!
