BTS has earned a new Guinness World Record!
On October 23, Guinness World Records announced that BTS has claimed the record for fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok.
BTS joined TikTok at 7:40 p.m. KST on September 25, and they hit the million mark by 11:11 p.m. KST. This means they set a new record of reaching one million followers within just 3 hours and 31 minutes.
According to TikTok, BTS reached two million followers in 13 hours and three million followers in 59 hours (two and a half days).
Earlier this year, BTS's “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey grabbed the Guinness World Records title of “Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours” (as well as “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours” and “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group”). Other titles held by BTS are “Most Twitter engagements (average retweets) for a music group” and “Most Twitter engagements (average retweets).” “Map of the Soul: Persona” also set the record for the best-selling album in South Korean history.
Congratulations to BTS!
