Taeyeon of Girls' Generation is making a comeback with her second full-length album "Purpose" and is currently running for the top spot.
Taeyeon's second full-length album "Purpose," released on the 28th, topped iTunes' top album charts in 21 regions worldwide, including Brazil, Mexico, India, the United Arab Emirates, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. It is the highest-ever record for a Korean female solo artist album.
The album has also topped the sales charts of China's biggest music sites QQ Music, KuGou Music and Kuwo Music's digital albums, while the music video for the title song "Spark" has also been receiving great responses, topping the Korean music section of the QQ Music's music video chart.
