LOONA Asks Fans to Cheer Respectfully During Chicago Concert

On August 11th, LOONA held a concert in Chicago as part of the US leg of their first-ever world tour. Mid-concert, all members stepped up the stage and leader Haseul addressed the fans, announcing that Kim Lip was not feeling well and would not be participating in the other stages. Haseul also used the opportunity to express gratitude and ask the fans to tone down their cheering, especially when other members are speaking.

Fans who came to the concert shared their experiences on Twitter. Most of them pointed out that while Kim Lip was speaking on the stage, some people in the crowd kept cheering loudly for another member, which gave discomfort to Kim Lip, who was said to be already not feeling well. After walking off the stage for the next song, Kim Lip no longer participated in the next group performances.

The organizers of the event also announced that Kim Lip will not be participating in the Meet & Greet Event in Chicago.

LOONA's Heejin also released a statement through platform fab. After expressing her enjoyment and gratefulness to the fans, she also asked everyone to respect every member, not just their bias.

Despite what happened, it is best to remember that not all concertgoers were disrespectful during the concert. In fact, majority of the Orbits, Loona's fans, who attended the concert also expressed outrage over the incident.

Get well soon, Kim Lip!
