Right after the public voting period for the 2022 Seoul International Drama Awards began, Korean netizens were quick to notice the number of idols topping the different acting categories. "Just by looking at it, it's a Popularity Award," one commented. "It's not an acting award. It's an actor award," another fan pointed out.
Although the majority of the comments were mocking the results, with others even wanting to boycott the ceremony, many were still empathetic. One of them said, "If you add 'Popularity Award' after the name of the award, there will be no problem."
