Breaking News: Gyuri Leaves fromis_9

A sad day for fromis_9 fans . . .

On July 28th, Pledis Entertainment announced that Jang Gyuri would be leaving fromis_9. She will wrap up her activities and leave the agency starting July 31st.

It can be remembered that fromis_9 members were originally managed by Stone Music Entertainment's sub-label Off the Record Entertainment until they were eventually transferred to Pledis Entertainment. In August 2021, all fromis_9 members made their transfer official by signing an exclusive contract with Pledis, except for Jang Gyuri who maintained her contract terms with her previous agency.

Because of this, fromis_9 will reorganize and continue to promote as an 8-member girl group.

This is Pledis Entertainment.

Thank you for always supporting fromis_9, and we are informing you about fromis_9's future activities.

Starting in August, fromis_9 plans to reorganize the team with an eight-member system and meet fans in the second half of the year with various activities, including Japanese schedules. After the activities of the 5th mini album "from our Mentiono Box," Jang Gyu-ri will complete fromis_9 activities and contracts with us early on July 31st and start a new challenge.

Eight members of fromis_9 (Lee Saerom, Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Noh Ji-sun, Lee Seo-yeon, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-kyung, and Baek Ji-heon) signed a new exclusive contract with us when they moved to Pledis in August 2021. Jang Gyu-ri maintained the original terms of the contract with her previous agency, and our company has been in charge of managing Jang Gyu-ri's team activities and personal activities.

The decision was made after a long discussion and consideration together on what is the best direction for each other. We ask for your generous encouragement and love to the eight fromis_9 members who are about to make a new leap and Jang Gyuri, who has done her best her as a member of fromis_9.

We will continue to support fromis_9 in various fields and grow further as an artist.
