JYP Entertainment's new global girl group, VCHA, has confirmed its official debut date.
According to JYP on the 1st, VCHA will officially debut on January 26th next year. The official debut date was revealed through a performance video of the pre-debut single "Ready for the World," which was released at 2 p.m. on the same day.
"Ready for the World" is the starting point of light and the complete song of the theme song of "America2K" (A2K), a global girl group launch project that captivated global viewers.
Producer and singer Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park), who leads JYP, participated in the song work following VCHA's first pre-debut single, "NEW LIGHT." It contains the joy and excitement of the members who are about to make their official debut in the dynamic uptempo synth pop genre.
VCHA was born through "A2K," a collaboration between JYP and the NO.1 label Republic Records in the U.S., selected by Billboard under Universal Music Group. Park Jin-young, who led the project, named the group and expressed the team's identity to "light the fans and the world."
Earlier, on September 22, "VCHA simultaneously released "NEW LIGHT" worldwide with the title song of "Y.O.Universe" and celebrated the end of "A2K." As of 8 a.m. on the 23rd of the same month, the music video for "Y.O. Universe" entered the rankings of 33 overseas regions, including YouTube Trending Worldwide No. 1, the United States No. 5, Brazil No. 7, and Canada No. 8, a day after its release.
In addition, it achieved 100,000 followers on Spotify's official account at a rapid pace. It is gaining popularity by surpassing 1 million followers on the mobile short-form video platform TikTok's official account.
