Former NMIXX member Jini has taken her first steps as a solo.
"I've just opened the door. I don't have a big goal because I'm in the beginning stage. I want to meet and communicate with more fans."
Jini, a former member of the girl group "NMIXX," has started to stand alone. At 6 p.m. on the 11th, she released her first mini-album "An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove" on the music platforms.
Jini expressed her ambition at a showcase held at Shinhan Play Square Live Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where the album was released, saying, "I'm very nervous and I feel a lot of pressure because it's my first stage (as a solo), but I want to do better."
The title track of the album is "C'mon." Jini said, "I expressed addictive melodies and love that keep lingering in my ears," and asked, "There is a hand gesture that matches the lyrics of the song, so I hope you can focus on it."
The English version was presented as the title song. "When I first heard the demo song, I really liked the English version. There are many fans who waited in Korea, but there are many fans who waited abroad, so I chose the English version as the title song," she explained.
Kirsten of the global crew "Jam Republic," who is starring in the popular Mnet "Street Women Fight 2" participated in the choreography of the track "Dancing With The Devil." Jini said of her chemistry with Kirsten, "She taught me so kindly that I was surprised to see her really choreography. I tried to express the choreography well made," she said with satisfaction.
Jini debuted in February last year with NMIXX launched by JYP Entertainment. This team gradually built up its profile. Meanwhile, Jini surprised fans by withdrawing in December of the same year, 10 months later.
Jini, who declined to comment on the retreat as a personal reason, said, "I thought a lot about how to use the stage (as a solo) to make the stage look full. Thank you so much for waiting for me. I hope we can make many memories together for a long time in the future."
