On July 3, Gaon released their official figures for the best selling tracks and physical albums for the first half of 2018, from weeks 1 through 25.
Top 10 Digitals (Weeks 1-25):
1. iKON's "Love Scenario"
2. Jang Deokcheol's "Good Old Days"[1]
3. MOMOLAND's "BBoom BBoom"
4. Melomance's "Gift"
5. Camila Cabello's "Havana"
6. MAMAMOO's "Starry Night"
7. MoonMoon's "Contrails"

10. DEAN's "instagram"
[1] Jang Deokcheol's "Good Old Days" has also achieved 100 million streams in this year's first half just like iKon's "Love Scenario." However, since it is a song from 2017, it will not receive a Gaon Certification. 2017's sole song to achieve this feat was Ailee's "I Will Go To You Like The First Snow (Goblin OST)"
Top 10 Physical Albums (Weeks 1-25):

[1] BTS' shares increased by 7.5% from the same period in 2017.
In the first half of 2018, the sales of the first 400 albums released in the year increased by 4.01 million units compared to the same period last year. The main reason for this seems to be the increase in album sales of BTS and the new addition of Wanna One in the physical album market.
Top Digitals Market Shares by Entertainment/Music Distribution Company:
1. Loen Entertainment (29.3%)
2. Stone Music Entertainment (21.7%)
3. IRIVER (14.9%)
4. Genie Music (10.6%)
Loen Entertainment ranked #1 in digital music sales in the first half of 2018. Some of their major recordings include Jang Dukcheol's "Like the Old Days," MOMOLAND's "BBoom BBoom," Melomance's 'Gift', and MAMAMOO's "Starry Night."
Top Physical Album Shares by Entertainment/Music Distribution Company:

3. Stone Music Entertainment (18.6%)

Some of the major albums include BTS' "LOVE YOURSELF 'Tear'," EXO-CBX's "Blooming Days," and TWICE's "What is Love?" The fact that IRIVER has more than half of the album sales is expected to serve as a foundation for SK to enter the music market in the future.
In the first half of 2018, the OST Gaon index share dropped 8.1% from the same period in 2017.
The top OSTs in the first half of 2018 were Lee Soo's "My Way (Money Flower OST)," Ailee's "I Will Go To You Like The First Snow (Goblin OST)," and Melomance's "Deepen (Yellow OST)."

Love Scenario better be the song of the year while Love Yourself should be Album of the year. Any takers for the Music Video of the year?

I'm hoping maybe Shinee, but low-key think BlackPink might be winning that one.
