After being in critical condition for days following a fatal van accident involving Ladies' Code, member Rise died on September 7, 2014. She was 23.
The singer was said to be unconscious for days following the incident that took the life of fellow member EunB on Sept. 3. The Korean-Japanese singer had gone through hours of surgery in an attempt to save her from her car accident injuries.
In the wake of EunB and RiSe's deaths, the group would go on to achieve major success on the music charts as fans of the group began posting messages on online communities and SNS encouraging people to listen to the song "I'm Fine Thank You" (from the group's second EP Pretty Pretty) as a tribute and to fulfill RiSe and EunB's dream of ranking first on the music charts
Kwon Ri-se better known by her stage name RiSe, was a Japanese singer of Korean descent. RiSe was critically injured in a serious car accident during Ladies' Code's KISS KISS promotions, passing away on September 7, 2014.
