B.A.P (Korean: 비에이피; Japanese: ビエピ) is a five-member boy group. Originally under TS Entertainment with six members they debuted on January, 26th, 2012 with their first single album "Warrior". Their group name is an acronym for "Best Absolute Perfect".
However, the group went on hiatus for over a year due to a dispute with their company, during which they fought to nullify their contracts. Eventually, a settlement was reached in 2015, and the group came out of hiatus with their EP "Matrix". The group continued to promote until each member's contract expired.
On August 23, 2018 TS Entertainment confirmed Yongguk's departure from the company.
After their contracts expired, B.A.P did not disband, but instead, ended their contracts with TS Entertainment. The group plans to return soon after all members finish their schedules and enlistments. For the time being, all members are on hiatus from group activities.
Unfortunately, Himchan announced his departure from the group following several sexual assault accusations. As a result, B.A.P reorganized as a five-member boy group.
