Ace of Angels! Hello, we are AOA AOA (Hangul: 에이오에이; an acronym for Ace of Angels) is a South Korean idol girl group signed under FNC Entertainment. Initially, AOA debuted as an eight-member girl band that consisted of ChoA, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Chanmi, Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Mina.
On June 22nd, 2017, ChoA announced her departure from the group. She explained her reasons were depression and insomnia, stating her attempts to use medication did not help.
On May 13th, 2019, FNC announced Mina has chosen to not renew her contract with AOA while the rest of the members resigned and would promote as a 5 member group.
On July 4th, 2020, FNC announced that the group's leader Jimin would be departing from AOA, and the entertainment industry as a whole. This occurred after former member Mina made a series of allegations against Jimin for bullying her throughout her career as a singer, causing her depression among many other things.
On January 1, 2021, FNC Entertainment announced that Yuna's contract had expired, and that she would be leaving the company.
