SISTAR (씨스타) was a renowned girl group that emerged in the Korean music scene in 2010 under Starship Entertainment. The group consisted of four members: Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom. They captivated audiences with their catchy songs, impressive vocals, and alluring concepts.
Before their official debut, they gained exposure through various pre-debut activities, such as modeling for magazines and starring in commercials.
They unveiled their debut single “Push Push” on June 1, 2010. Two days later, Starship revealed the music video for their title track. The group made their debut performance on June 4, 2010, on the popular music show Music Bank.
On May 23, 2017, Starship announced the sad news that SISTAR would disband after their comeback with their final single “Lonely” on May 31. The group bid farewell to their fans with their last performance on June 4, 2017. Despite their disbandment, Sistar’s members remain active in the music industry and support each other’s solo careers. For example, Soyou’s song “Aloha” featured Bora.
