Sunshine is a nine-member kids' girl group under Kim Youngmin Productions. The group was announced in 2019 by the comedian Kim Youngmin. They aim to create songs for youth about current issues, as seen in each of their releases.
They debuted on August 20, 2019, with the release of the single "Now Let's Reduce!", promoting environmental protection. The same year as their debut, one member left the group.
Their second single, "Eternal Friendship", was released on December 13, 2019, and wishes to bring awareness against school violence.
Sometime in early 2020, three members left the group due to reasons related to COVID-19. The five members left released the single "Into The Forest" on August 4, 2020. This release was also meant to promote environmental protection.
Sometimes between this release and the next one, two members left while six were added: Yeojin, Jiwoo, Chaeyoung, Yoonseo, Yejin, and Soomin.
Sunshine released their first mini album, titled "Sunshine" on April 9, 2021. This release addresses school violence.
The group hasn't released new music since 2021 and their SNS accounts have been inactive since 2023, thus, it is unknown if the group is still active or not.
