Introduction

Jang Gyuri (장규리) is a South Korean singer and actress under Namoo Actors. She is a former member of the girl group fromis_9. Fans and fellow members playfully considered her as the 'father of the group' because of her tough as nails demeanor, coming off from her military family background. Prior to debuting, Gyuri appeared and competed in the show "Idol School" where she ranked 9th, earning her a spot in the group fromis_9.

She debuted as a member of fromis_9 on January 24, 2018 with the mini album To. Heart.

In May, 2018 Gyuri was revealed as a contestant of the Mnet's reality show, Produce 48. On August 26, Gyuri was eliminated from the competition after achieving 25th place, in the episode 11 and rejoined fromis_9.

On May 10, 2019, Gyuri made her acting debut in tvN D's web drama Dating Class.

On July 28, 2022, Pledis Entertainment announced that Gyuri would be leaving fromis_9. She will wrap up her activities with the group and agency starting July 31st.

On August 18, Gyuri reportedly signed with Just Entertainment as an actress. On August 29, the company confirmed the news with a welcome video message on their Instagram account.
