Jiyoung, also known as JY, is a South Korean singer and actress under Elrise Entertainment. She is a Vocalist of the girl group KARA. She joined in 2008 alongside Hara after the departure of Kim Sung-hee. At the time, she was just 14 years old, making her the youngest member of the group.
On January 15, 2014, it was announced that she would leave the group once her contract ended in April 2014. She unexpectedly rejoined the group for their 15th anniversary celebrations in 2022.
In March 2016, she made her solo debut in Japan with the single "Saigo no Sayonara".
