Lee Chaeyeon is a South Korean singer and dancer, best known as a member of the project group IZ*ONE. She debuted with the group following her participation in the second season of Produce 48. Chaeyeon was recognized as the main dancer, lead vocalist, and lead rapper of the group. Prior to joining IZONE, she competed on JYP Entertainment's survival show "SIXTEEN," where she participated with her sister, ITZY's Chaeryeong.
Chaeyeon officially debuted as a member of IZ*ONE on October 29, 2018, with the release of their first mini-album COLOR*IZ. The group gained significant success during their promotions, which lasted until their disbandment on April 29, 2021.
After IZ*ONE's disbandment, Chaeyeon participated in the Mnet dance survival show Street Woman Fighter, where she finished in 7th place. She made her solo debut on October 12, 2022, with the release of her first mini-album HUSH RUSH. The album's single quickly ranked on various music platforms, including Bugs, Melon, Genie, and iTunes. The music video for the single also garnered significant attention, surpassing 10 million views within four days of its release.
In 2023, Chaeyeon participated in the Mnet survival show Queendom Puzzle, but she left the competition due to personal reasons.
