Park Chaeyoung, known under her stage name Rosé, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, and composer under The Black Label and Atlantic_Records. formerly YG Entertainment. She is best known as the main vocalist and lead dancer of the internationally acclaimed girl group BLACKPINK.
Rosé was born on February 11, 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand. She later moved to Melbourne, Australia at the age of 7. She lived in Australia until she was sixteen years old when she participated in YG Entertainment's Australia Audition in 2012. She passe the audition which influenced her to move back to South Korea and start her journey as an official trainee of the agency.
In 2013, she was featured on a G-Dragon track called "Without You".
After four years and 2 months of training, Rosé made her debut with BLACKPINK on August 8, 2016, and went on to become one of the most well-known artists of her generation.
On March 12, 2021, Rosé made her highly-anticipated solo debut with the single album "-R-".
On December 29, 2023, it was officiated that Rosé renewed her contract with YG Entertainment as an active member of BLACKPINK, but without an individual-exclusive contract with the said entertainment.
On June 17, 2024, it was announced that Rosé joined The Black Label, a former sub-label of YG Entertainment, while still being an active member of BLACKPINK.
