Bae Sumin is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and dancer under High Up Entertainment. She is best known as the leader and the oldest member of the girl group STAYC.

On September 9, 2020, Sumin was the second member of STAYC to be announced. She debuted with the group on November 12, 2020 when they released their first single album "Star To A Young Culture".

Sumin is such a fan of Younha, that she humbly purchased tickets and went to Younha's fan meeting by herself, without telling anyone, and without the aid of STAYC's manager in getting her any preferential treatment. Her plan to blend in was foiled, however, when a fan recognized her. Younha thanked Sumin for her efforts with a signed album.

Sumin has been friends with Rocket Punch's Suyun since they met as trainees in March of 2017. Sumin is just 4 days older, both are "rabbits", and they share the same MBTI (ISFJ).
