Youjoung

Introduction

Youjoung (유정) is a South Korean singer under RND Company. She is a former member of the girl group BB GIRLS (formerly Brave Girls).On February 2, 2016, it was announced that Brave Girls would be returning as a seven-member group after a two-year hiatus. She, alongside Minyoung, Eunji, Yuna, and Hayun, were added as new members. Youjoung made her official debut as a member on February 16, 2016, with the group's fourth digital single "Deepened".

In October 2017, she, alongside fellow member Eunji, became a contestant on the rebooting project show The Unit. She was eliminated in episode 11 after ranking 37th place. On February 16, 2023, Brave Entertainment announced that Brave Girls would conclude their official activities under the agency after all the members decided not to renew their contracts. On April 27, 2023, Warner Music Korea announced that she, alongside Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna, had signed exclusive contracts with the agency to continue activities as a group.

On May 3, 2023, it was announced that the group had changed their name to 'BB GIRLS' due to their previous agency, Brave Entertainment, owning the trademark for the 'Brave Girls' name. On April 22, 2024, Warner Music Korea announced that BB GIRLS would be leaving the agency after their contract had expired. Later that day, it was revealed that the group had established their own agency BBGIRLS Company, and will be continuing as a trio without Youjoung. On July 1, 2024, RND Company announced that they signed with Youjoung.
