On December 12th, SM Entertainment announced that Girls' Generation's Yuri is set to star in "Mist," a movie which depicts the fear felt in the desperate struggle of those who somehow try to resolve the cracks in their ordinary lives.
Yuri will take on the role of Kim Min, an employee of a cleaning company that specializes in handling lonely death sites. With Kim Min being a person who builds a wall around people due to her emotional trauma, Yuri is expected to portray the character's complex psychology.

"Mist" will be Yuri's first-ever attempt at the mystery thriller genre since debut. She raised expectations for her unprecedented transformation by saying, "It's a work that came fresh, so I'm excited to show you a new look. I'll work hard to finish it well in a healthy and enjoyable way with responsibility, so please pay a lot of attention to it."
Meanwhile, Yuri is currently attracting attention as one of the main cast of the variety show "The Genius Paik Season 2."
