IVE Reveals "Heya" Dance Challenge Before Its Release

"MZ wannabe icon" IVE has released a point choreography for its new song ahead of its comeback.

On the 27th, Starship Entertainment, the agency, unveiled the dance challenge of "HEYA," the title song of the second EP album "IVE SWITCH" on the official TikTok channel of IVE's global short-form video platform.

Members Rei, Jang Wonyoung, and Lee Seo appeared in the video, drawing attention with oriental costumes and accessories first. They reminded the sun of the lyrics of "Heya", the chorus of the title song "Heya", and in "I'll Swallow You," they performed a choreography that seemed to swallow the sun, expressing their own original colors in kitsch and sophisticated ways.

The released section drew attention with a choreography that anyone can easily follow, making viewers hum with a repetitive part of "heya."

IVE has been so popular with the 10th and 20th generations that it has earned the modifier "Choice President." In the "Eleven" challenge, a voluntary challenge using Zoom choreography was created along with the performance challenge, and "Love Dive" also occupied the "playground chart" with dance covers and challenges gaining huge popularity among Generation Z. As a result, "Love Dive" was selected as the most used song of 2022 on TikTok, and its popularity on the platform was achieved with the feat of winning the Rookie of the Year and the Daesang at the same time as well as various music charts.

IVE will make a comeback with its second EP album, "IVE SWITCH," at 6 p.m. on the 29th. This album has a new story in its own style by IVE, who has shown distinct colors. It contains a total of six songs, including the double title songs "Heya" and "Ascendio."
