Pledis says rumors of Xiyeon's departure from Pristin are "unfounded."
Pledis said to 10Asia, "The rumors that Xiyeon's contract was terminated and the Pristin is to disband are false."
They went on to say "Zhou Jieqiong (Kyulkyung) who is active abroad now is also working as a Pristin member. They are preparing for their next album."
A media outlet reported on the day that member Xiyeon terminated contract with the Pledis and Pristin was actually taking steps to break up. This led to fans of the group to worry about the group's future as Pristin has not released music as a full group for over a year.
Fans worried another member may leave or the group would disband and requested an official statement from the company.
Pristin debuted in 2016 with single "We" and has released two mini-albums so far. In May, they released single "Like a V" as a sub-unit group "Pristin V." Member Kayla has been temporarily hiatus due to health problems.

That awkward moment when Pristin V's song is way better than their full group title songs.

I read somewhere that the reason why Pristin hardly gets a comeback is because none of the girls take part with the choreo or song compositions unlike Seventeen who is really hands on and can basically prepare without Pledis. I wonder if thats true though.
