On September 17th at 9 a.m. KST, former iKON member and leader B.I went in for questioning at the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency under the status of someone with information about a case, after following some inquiries about matters such as B.I allegedly purchasing marijuana from an acquaintance in 2016 and using it, the star admitted to some of the suspicions.
Therefore, B.I's status has been changed to that of a suspect in the case. The rapper is now booked.
But the charges he admitted to are not known as of now.
After over 14 hours of questioning, B.I exited the police station at around 11:30 p.m. and stated to the press, “I'm sorry for evoking criticism.”
After over 14 hours of questioning, B.I exited the police station around 11:30PM. The star answered to only one question by the press over what he wanted to say to his fans. He publicly stated "I'm sorry to disappoint you."
The police have booked him on suspicions of violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics, Etc. and they plan to send his case to the prosecution soon.
However, the police office hasn't released any official statements about the investigation details and results. According to previous report in the morning, a police official said, "We don't want to reveal any details of the matter because it is under investigation.”
Some reports claim that Yang Hyun Suk will soon be called in for questioning as part of the investigation into suspicions of intimidating the informant in 2016 who first brought up B.I's drug-related suspicions and therefore blocking the police investigation.
