B.A.P (Korean: 비에이피; Japanese: ビエピ; Best Absolute Perfect) was a boy group originally under TS Entertainment with six members - Leader Bang Yongguk, Jung Daehyun, Yoo Youngjae, Kim Himchan, Moon Jong-up, and Maknae Zelo. Their debut was a huge success, making them one of the most popular rookie groups in Korea and among Korean fans.
However, the group went on hiatus for over a year due to a dispute with their company, during which they fought to nullify their contracts. Eventually, a settlement was reached in 2015, and the group came out of hiatus with their EP "Matrix". The group continued to promote until each member's contract expired.
On August 23, 2018 TS Entertainment confirmed Yongguk's departure from the group and company.
After their contracts expired, B.A.P did not disband, but instead, ended their contracts with TS Entertainment. The group plans to return soon after all members finish their schedules and enlistments. For the time being, all members are on hiatus from group activities.
Unfortunately, Himchan announced his departure from the group following several sexual assault accusations. As a result, B.A.P reorganized as a four-member boy group.
