Last May 22, 2021, Gfriend officially disbanded, leaving fans heartbroken as their hit song "Mago" unexpectedly became their disbandment song.
Throughout their music discography, GFriend debuted with an innocent schoolgirl concept which later changed into an elegant concept as the girls grew into fine young ladies.

Now, two years after disbandment, the girls have started their personal careers, with some members entering the acting industry and some redebuting in a group, VIVIZ.
On Sowon's latest Instagram update, fans saw a glimpse of the girls again as they bond over a meal together.
Korean netizens commented:
- Seeing that after they left HYBE's female idols hit the jackpot, it seemed like it could be dismantled haha. It's funny that after they got disbanded, everything was ruined.
- Seeing that they see each other often, it doesn't seem like they were torn apart because of their personal activities.
