BTS’s Jungkook Is ‘Bam’s Dad’, Opens Instagram Account For His Doberman

On April 14, BTS’s Jungkook announced on Weverse that he has opened an Instagram account for his Doberman, ‘Bam’.

He said, “I can’t brag about myself now, so I should brag about my baby.”

Jungkook, who is currently enlisted in the military, shared photos of his beloved ‘son’, Bam, and even labeled the Instagram profile as ‘Bam’s Dad’.

Although Bam was introduced to ARMY at a previous time, he became more popular after appearing at BTS’s In the Soop Season 2.

According to a 2024 list of the top 100 pet influencers on Instagram, the most followed is a Pomeranian named Jiffpom, with 9.3 million followers, followed by Nala Cat, with 4.5 million followers.

As of writing time, Bam’s account has 4.3 million followers and counting. With his Dad not having his personal Instagram account, it’s likely this account will gain more followers in no time.

On December 6, 2021, all seven BTS members opened individual accounts, where they shared personal photos of their public and private activities. On February 28, 2023, Jungkook decided to delete his Instagram account, which had over 50 million followers at that time, leading to fans speculating that the account was hacked.

On Weverse, Jungkook explained that this was his personal decision, "I deleted my Instagram account. It wasn't hacked. I just deleted it because I wasn't using it much... So don't worry!"

From then on, Jungkook shared photos and updates with fans on Weverse. Just months before his military enlistment, he “accidentally” shared a TikTok video on Weverse, which led to fans discovering his “secret” account. Millions of people started following him on TikTok. As of this writing, Jungkook has 18.3 million followers and 161.4 million likes on TikTok.
