Kep1er Reportedly Disbanding in July

On April 25th, Korean media outlets reported that the members of Kep1er will part ways and each return to their respective agencies at the end of July, following the expiration of their group contract. Before Kep1er's disbandment in July of this year, they plan to say goodbye to fans through a new album and final round of promotions.

Kep1er is a project girl group formed through the Mnet survival show "Girls Planet 999." Back in November 2021, just before their January 2022 debut, it was announced that they will promote for two years and 6 months. Last year, as the group neared their disbandment period, it was confirmed that contract extensions were being discussed and negotiated among key executives of the members' respective original agencies. However, according to the reports, the negotiations didn't lead to positive results and Kep1er's July disbandment was finalized.

Meanwhile, shortly after the reports were publicized, on the afternoon of the same day, Kep1er's temporary group agency WAKEONE refuted the reports, saying, "We are currently having discussions with the members and their agencies over the extension of Kep1er's musical activities. Kep1er is currently gearing up for a new Japanese album, so please support the band."

Kep1er is set to release their first full-length Japanese album "Kep1going."
