ILLIT Achieves Perfect All-Kill With "Magnetic"

"HYBE rookie" ILLIT achieved a "perfect all-kill" by topping all major music charts in Korea with debut song "Magnetic."

The title song "Magnetic" of their first mini album "Super Real Me" topped the daily chart of Melon, Bugs, Genie Music, Naver Vibe, and Flo (as of April 22), which was released on the 23rd.

"Magnetic" ranked No. 1 on the Bugs daily chart (as of March 31) for the first time in six days since the release of the music on the 25th of last month. Since then, it has continued to spread its popularity by dominating the Melon weekly chart, and finally achieved a "perfect all-kill" by topping the Genie chart on the same day.

Through this song, ILLIT has emerged as a "leading K-pop fifth-generation girl group" by sweeping the top three categories of global K-pop, digital, and streaming and winning five music broadcasts, including SBS' "Inkigayo," in the recently released weekly chart (15th week of 2024/aggregate period April 7th to 13th).

"Magnetic" is the fourth song to achieve a perfect all kill this year, joing IU, BIBI, and (G)I-DLE!

"Magnetic" compares the honest confidence of a teenage girl running at full speed to a magnet who likes you, and it is loved a lot by adding the witty lyrics of "Super Attraction" and ILLIT's quirky bright charm.

ILLIT is the second fastest girl group to achieve a perfect all kill, just after BLACKPINK.

Due to the nature of the dance genre, which is a mixture of Pluggnb and House, it is gaining huge popularity on various short-form platforms. The number of short-form contents using this song is currently 440,000 on TikTok and 480,000 on Instagram Reels.

"Magnetic" has also made a remarkable achievement in global charts. The song ranked 91st on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (April 20) for the first time as a K-pop debut song, and ranked 80th on the U.K. Official Single Top 100 (April 5) and successfully entered the chart for three consecutive weeks.
