Broadcasted live on February 18, Sunday, on E!, Peacock, and NBC, the 2024 People’s Choice Awards recognized several K-pop superstars who truly made their fandoms proud.
BTS’ Jungkook once again proved that he deserves his “Golden Maknae” title after being awarded Male Artist of the Year. He bested other globally renowned male artists including, Bad Bunny, Drake, Jack Harlow, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and The Weeknd.
Jungkook was also nominated for the Pop Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year categories. His song, “Seven” featuring Latto was nominated for Collaboration Song of the Year.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids keeps their status as one of the strongest 4th generation K-pop groups after winning the Group/Duo of the Year award at the PCA’s. Also nominated in this category are Tomorrow X Together, Dan + Shay, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, Jonas Brothers, Old Dominion, and Paramore.
People’s Choice Awards is one of the biggest American awards shows that recognize personalities in the entertainment industry. The fans and the general public decide who wins through online voting. The annual awards show started in 1975 and was initially managed by CBS before being acquired by E! In 2017.
