Korean Netizens Defend Wonyoung Against Chinese Media's Criticisms!

IVE's Jang Wonyoung recently faced backlash from Chinese media after the idol proudly showed off the traditional Korean hairpin that she was wearing when she represented luxury brand Fred at the recent Paris Fashion Week. A Chinese media outlet called out Wonyoung, claiming that the phoenix-shaped hairpin belongs to the Chinese.

Korean netizens quickly came to Wonyoung's defense.

- Soon, Western dragons will also be claimed by the Chinese.

- Yes, Jang Wonyoung and the phoenix hairpin are also Korean.

- Don't touch Wonyoung, you bastards.

- Seriously, why do they have so much useless energy?

- I'm not a fan of Jang Wonyoung but I will gladly fight for her in this matter

- Do they have any evidence?

- If its yours, give us proof!

- Any proof that it's Chinese? It was used all over the East at that time. Who is really stealing Korean culture and looking for money for Korean cultural content?

- Are they seriously attacking Jang Wonyoung for this???

- I guess China is interested of Jang Wonyoung now

- Wonyoung must be really famous for China to attack her like this

- What's the problem with Korean Jang Wonyoung trying to promote Korean culture?

- Find strength, Wonyoung! Even the muggles and antis are supporting you this time!
(muggles mean non-fans)

- Our Jang Wonyoung is the best ㅠㅠ
