Global Kpop group aespa will officially attend the 76th Cannes International Film Festival—the first for a Kpop group.
On April 27th, according to SpotTV News, aespa will attend the 76th Cannes International Film Festival in May of this year. This is made possible by their status as Chopard's global ambassador.
The Swiss luxury jewelry company Chopard has been sponsoring the Cannes Film Festival as an official partner for 26 years since 1997.
The agency SM Entertainment told SpotTV News, "It is correct that aespa will go to the Cannes International Film Festival as Chopard's global ambassador."
Chopard President Caroline Scheupele also expressed her anticipation for this news through an interview and said, "They will be the first Korean ambassadors to come to Cannes."
At the moment, aespa is coordinating departure schedules.
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world's top three film festivals and is considered the biggest festival for filmmakers. This year, it will be held from May 16th to 27 in the southern French resort city of Cannes.
Meanwhile, aepa is about to make a comeback with the new album 'My World' on May 8th.
