Pledis Entertainment Announces SEVENTEEN Jeonghan's Suspension of Activities Following Ankle Surgery

On December 14th, Pledis Entertainment released a statement, announcing Jeonghan's break from SEVENTEEN's official activities following an ankle surgery. The agency said, "While performing on the recent tour, Jeonghan's ankle pain worsened. He immediately went to the hospital and was diagnosed by the medical staff as needing surgery. Accordingly, he was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday the 13th and underwent ankle surgery on the morning of Thursday the 14th. The surgery was successful, and Jeonghan is now recuperating."

Pledis Entertainment also revealed that the idol previously suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been undergoing treatments. However, Jeonghan was determined to participate in all of SEVENTEEN's scheduled activities, so he continued to carry them out while getting regular checkups with medical professionals.

Following Jeonghan's surgery, Pledis Entertainment asks for fans' understanding, saying, "We believed that it was in the artist's best interest to prioritize his recovery and rehabilitation above all else at this time. Therefore, it will be difficult for Jeonghan to participate in official activities for the time being, including the upcoming SEVENTEEN TOUR 'FOLLOW' TO JAPAN Fukuoka concert and the 'FOLLOW' TO ASIA concerts in Bangkok, Bulacan, and Macao. We ask for your generous understanding."

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is set to conduct their largest Japanese dome tour since debut. Following their successful performance at Kyocera Dome from December 9th to 10th, they are scheduled to perform at the Fukuoka Dome on December 16th and 17th.
