Donations made by IU will help teenagers and women who often lack medical welfare due to economic reasons. Asan Hospital and the Korea Children's Welfare Association will receive a portion of the donations. The funds donated to the Korea Children's Welfare Association will be used for environmental improvement projects in areas affected by typhoon flooding in child welfare facilities nationwide. The Seoul Children's Hospital will use the donations to improve the treatment environment by providing medical expense support to underprivileged individuals and remodeling development centers.
IU has made various donations to charity organizations and low-income groups, including the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation and a briquette collection fund. She also donated to Milal School and encouraged her fandom, Uaena, to participate in the donation.
With that, IU expressed her gratitude:
"Thanks to our 'Uaena' who is always by my side and giving us generous support, I am truly happy to be able to participate in sharing warmth with society," adding, "I will make memories together as 'IUana'. Thanks to the precious experience I have had, I gain great motivation every time. As much as I have received precious love from you, I want to share it with those around me, and I believe that it will be the starting point of a small change for someone else. I am always grateful to have 'Uaena'. I learn from you. I love you. See you soon."
Meanwhile, IU, who debuted in 2008, is continuing special activities to celebrate her 15th anniversary this year. Her upcoming concert, '2023 IU Fan Concert 'I+UN1VER5E' will be held at KSPO DOME in Seoul on the 23rd and 24th, and the drama “You Have Done Well” is currently in full swing.
