On the ENA channel's TV show "NCT Universe: LASTART," which aired on the 7th, the pre-debut members of the NCT New team were announced, attracting attention.
NCT Universe: LASTART program selects members to join SM Rookies Sion and Yushi. Four missions were carried out, and five people were chosen by comprehensively compiling evaluations of artist directors BoA, Eunhyuk, and Jang Jin-young, as well as notable artist directors and SM NEW IP TF teams that appear in each mission.
List of the new NCT members confirmed:
- Riku
- Sakuya
- Daeyoung
- Jungmin
- Ryo
- Sion
- Yushi

The top five performers have been chosen for their exceptional abilities. Riku takes first place with natural talent and unbeatable skills. In second place is Sakuya, whose unique charm shines in every mission. Daeyoung, an all-rounder with impressive vocal and rap skills, joins in third place despite joining midway. Jungmin secures fourth place, chosen as the team's center for their stable singing ability. And finally, Ryo takes fifth place, known for his vibrant energy and style on stage.
The final selected trainees said, “As NCT is a name with great global influence, we will do our best to become people worthy of it. [We] are grateful to the members who participated in the program and everyone who helped,”
Sion and Yuushi also demonstrated their abilities as SM Rookies, receiving positive feedback from artist directors on each stage. On each mission, the two worked with and led the trainees, demonstrating their exceptional skills and commanding presence.
NCT New Team will hold 'NCT Stadium Live 'NCT Nation: To the World - in Japan' on the 9th and 10th of September, and Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on the 16th and 17th. Before the main stages, there will be a pre-stage of their performance.
Meanwhile, NCT New Team will embark on a pre-debut tour of 28 shows in 10 Japanese cities, beginning with a performance at Line Cube Shibuya in Tokyo on the 8th and 9th of next month.
The NCT New Team group will reportedly be called “NCT Tokyo.”
