Singer Park Bo Ram (30), who died suddenly on the 11th, was found to have been drinking with acquaintances before she died.
According to the Namyangju Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 12th, Park Bo Ram collapsed after going to the bathroom while drinking with two female acquaintances at an acquaintance's residence in Namyangju at 9:55 p.m. the previous day.
The acquaintances reportedly called 119 and the police because Park Bo-ram was unconscious in the bathroom. Police and fire authorities dispatched to the scene rushed Park Bo-ram to the hospital, but it was confirmed that she died at around 11:17 p.m.
The police will ask the National Forensic Service to conduct an autopsy to investigate the exact cause of death.
A police official said, "The investigation is underway, and it is difficult to disclose the details."
Meanwhile, the news of the singer's death was reported through her agency. "Park Boram left us unexpectedly late at night on April 11," Xanadu Entertainment said. "It is all the more heartbreaking to have an unexpected news for our fans who support Park Boram."
The agency said, "The funeral process will be held after consultation with the bereaved families," adding, "Once again, we send our deepest condolences on the last road of the deceased."
Park Bo-ram appeared on Mnet's TV audition program "Superstar K2" in 2010 and became one of the "Last 11 People" and became very popular. Park Bo-ram made her official debut with "Beautiful" in 2014 and had been continuing her activities, before releasing her new song "I miss you already" on the 3rd.
