Kim Garam, a former member of the group LE SSERAFIM, will not stand on the media photo wall for the graduation ceremony of Seoul Performing Arts High School (hereinafter referred to as SOPA).
"Celebrity students in their third year can participate in the photo wall event for graduation ceremony. However, Kim Garam will not participate in the event," a source from the school told E-Daily on Sunday.
Seoul Performing Artst High School recently announced on its official website that it will hold a graduation ceremony for the 2023 school year at 11 a.m. on July 7. Seoul Performing Artst High School has installed media photo walls at the graduation site every year for graduates who are active as entertainers.
While SOPA announced the establishment of a media photo wall this year, Internet users' attention was focused on whether Kim Garam, one of the graduates, would participate. Kim Garam debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022, but he was suspected of being a perpetrator of school violence (crime), and was unable to fully carry out her activities.
At the time, her agency, Source Music, explained that Garam was punished by the school violence committee when she was in middle school, but she stepped up to help her friend who was affected. They said Garam was not the perpetrator of the school violence.
Afterwards, Source Music terminated its exclusive contract with Garam in July of that year. After leaving the company and the team, Kim Garam posted a message on social media, claiming, "I never bullied anyone. I was just an ordinary student." Since then, LE SSERAFIM has continued its activities under a five-member system.
