On June 25th, Korean media outlets reported that all members of 2NE1 are planning to meet YG Entertainment producer Yang Hyun Suk in person within the next few days. Before this, there have been rumors that CL and producer Yang had a surprise meeting in complete secrecy. Since the meeting between CL and Producer Yang took place ahead of 2NE1's 15th anniversary, rumors arose of a possible music comeback for 2NE1.
2NE1 made their official debut in May 2009 under YG Entertainment, working closely with producer Yang. Considered as one of the leaders of the Hallyu wave, the group is known for their girl crush concept and outstanding skills. Despite disbanding in 2016, the members continued to display a strong relationship as they supported each other's individual activities.
Last month, 2NE1 celebrated their 15th anniversary by sharing new group photos, much to the joy of fans.
