IU Announces Encore "H.E.R" Concert in September

Singer IU will hold an encore concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Sangam in September.

On March 10th, the singer-actress announced that she will hold a concert at the Seoul WorldCom Stadium from September 21st to 22nd as the last performance of her world tour "H.E.R." which will be held at KSPO DOME (formerly Gymnastics Stadium) in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

IU said, "I'm opening a world tour for the first time. I'm excited and worried because it's my first time meeting fans in many cities every week. Thankfully, all the concerts were sold out."

Regarding the encore, she explained, "I thought Korean fans would miss me during the tour. That's why I thought we should have an encore concert."

Seoul World Cup Stadium, located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, is a large concert hall with 60,000 seats. It said that IU will be the first female solo artist to perform at the venue, and third overall.

The encore concert is expected to be a little different from the previous shows. "I'm constantly challenging myself in my 30s. This time, I'm going to Sangam. I have some time left before the concert. It's similar to a gymnastics stadium performance, but I want to prepare another concert. I will get strength from this performance and go around well and meet you again in September with a smile," she said.

IU's tour will start in Seoul and will be held in 18 cities including Yokohama, Taipei, Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, London, Berlin, Bangkok, Osaka, Newark, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Rosemont, Oakland, Los Angeles.
