The BIGBANG member, dubbed as Korea's 'Chanel boy', has been the first Asian ambassador of the French luxury brand since 2016. On November 5, G-Dragon graced the 'Chanel Cruise 2024/25 Show' in Hong Kong, and sported a look that only he could pull off — a trendy pink Chanel tweed jacket over a flowy floral top, a black tee, and sparkly shoes. He polished a vibrant look with his messy red hair plus some accessories like orange-tinted statement glasses, a Chanel sling bag, and his Peaceminusone daisy brooch.
G-Dragon was also seen with other big-name ambassadors like Penelope Cruz and Chow Yun-Fat.
However, netizens expressed mixed reactions to GD's look for the Chanel event. Some even pointed out that he was looking 'awkward' and was 'fidgeting uncomfortably' in front of the cameras.
- Is that the best hair they can give him? It makes his face look big
- He's wearing women's clothes and they don't fit him at all now
- Why are they doing so much? It would've looked better if they toned it down a bit
- His hair is cute. The tweed jacket too
- The brooch is pretty
- I wish he'd stop wearing women's clothes and wear something else now
- GD looks like a scientist with a failed experiment
- GD always has that fashion style
- He just does what he wants. What’s the problem? He’s not hurting anyone
- There are a lot of comments. He is still a superstar
Despite some negative side comments from a few, many fans praised GD's look for the Chanel event. G-Dragon has been an ambassador for Chanel for 9 years, and this isn't the first time that he expressed his unique charms and individuality through his fashion fits.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon recently returned to the music scene with the release of his single 'POWER' and has been sweeping up the charts since then. He is also scheduled to attend the Mnet Asian Music Awards later this month.
