SEVENTEEN's Jun To Star In New Film Alongside Jackie Chan

Chinese actor and SEVENTEEN member Jun will be acting alongside veteran superstars Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-fai for the upcoming film 'The Shadow's Edge'.

On January 19th, Pledis Entertainment announced Jun's casting for the Chinese film slated for release later this year. Jun will play Hu Feng, a key member of the villain group 'Yangzi Tuan'. Tony Leung plays He Feng's adoptive father and the primary antagonist, while Jackie Chan plays the role of a seasoned detective. Directed by renowned Chinese filmmaker Larry Yang, the crime-thriller movie is about the police trying to take down a notorious criminal organization.

Jun, whose real name is Wen Junhui, started his acting career at an early age in China before debuting as a member of SEVENTEEN in 2015. As a child actor, Jun won the Silver award for 'Best New Actor' for his performance in the 2007 film 'The Pye Dog'. In the movie, he played the role of a traumatized child experiencing difficulties in learning. In 2008, Jun became the first Chinese child actor nominated for the Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Notably, Jun also played the young Ip Man in the 2010 Hong Kong movie 'The Legend Is Born: Ip Man'.

In 2023, Jun played the role of Ling Chao in the Chinese youth romance drama 'Exclusive Fairy Tale', for which he won the 'Rising Star of the Year' award at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is currently completing the remaining stops of their 4th World Tour [RIGHT HERE].
