K-pop Idols Born In '96 Are Gearing Up For Military Enlistment In 2025

As the Year of the Blue Snake begins, some idols are also preparing to temporarily step away from the limelight, with their military enlistment just around the corner.

A few K-pop sensations born in 1996 are already gearing up for their enlistment this year, including SEVENTEEN's Hoshi, NCT's Doyoung, and Kang Daniel. These '96-liners are just some of the most well-loved members in their respective groups and are known for their unique charms and talents.

SEVENTEEN's Hoshi plays an important role in SEVENTEEN as the group's main dancer and leader of the Performance Unit. With his outstanding choreography skills and charismatic stage presence, he brings every SEVENTEEN performance to another level. As one of the group's leaders, Hoshi actively leads and communicates with his members and fans. He is currently touring with his members for the 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR', meeting fans from all over the world before he bids goodbye and starts his military service. He is also making a comeback as a part of SEVENTEEN-BSS with 'TELEPARTY' this month and will form a sub-unit with Woozi this year, ahead of the group's 10th anniversary.



Doyoung, the main vocalist of NCT 127 and NCT U, has gained great popularity since his debut in 2016. He is In April 2024, he released his first solo album 'YOUTH', which was also his last major work before enlistment. He is currently spending precious time with fans through various activities and has recently concluded his '[DEAR YOUTH] Asian Tour'.


Kang Daniel, member of the disbanded group Wanna One, has received a lot of love and became popular through 'Produce 101' in 2017 before starting his solo career. Since then, he has established his name as a representative solo artist in K-pop after releasing several albums of various genres, which perfectly shows his own unique style and sensibility. In September 2024, he released his 5th mini-album 'ACT', and will commence his second tour in January 2025. As he is scheduled for enlistment this year, he is also preparing well to meet with his precious fans to say goodbye.



As these K-pop stars are currently completing their final activities before enlisting in the military, they are giving it their all so they can leave special memories for their fans. Hoshi, Doyoung, and Kang Daniel has inspired everyone with their charms and talents, and while they will be away for around 18 months, many fans has expressed their eagerness and continued support for these idols.
