Choi Jin-hyuk, born Kim Tae-ho, is a South Korean actor and singer represented by G-Tree Creative. He began his career after winning KBS's Survival Star Audition in 2006. In 2010, he adopted the stage name Choi Jin-hyuk and gained his first leading role in SBS's It's Okay, Daddy's Girl. His breakout role came in 2013 with the fantasy-period drama Gu Family Book.
Choi has starred in numerous popular TV series, including The Heirs (2013), Emergency Couple (2014), Pride and Prejudice (2014–2015), Devilish Charm (2018), The Last Empress (2018–2019), and Rugal (2020). His film roles include Love Clinique (2012) and The Divine Move (2014). He received the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards in 2013.
In addition to his acting, Choi has showcased his musical talent by contributing to several drama OSTs, including "Best Wishes to You" for Gu Family Book and "Scent of a Flower" for Emergency Couple.
He enlisted for mandatory military service on March 31, 2015, but was discharged after seven months due to a knee injury. Choi returned to acting in 2017 with the OCN series Tunnel.
In October 2021, Choi faced a setback after violating COVID-19 prevention regulations, leading to a hiatus and his departure from SBS's My Little Old Boy.
