Jung San (정산), best known by the stage name San E (산이), is a South Korean rapper, and songwriter. He debuted on September 13th, 2010 with his first mini-album, "Everybody Ready?" signed under JYP Entertainment, also being the company's first solo-rapper. San E was more recognized by the Korean hip-hop community after he jokingly dissed South Korean rapper, Verbal Jint in one of his songs. Verbal Jint then asked San E to join his hip hop crew, Overclass.
San E collaborated with South Korean singer, Raina from After School with the single, "A Midsummer Night's Sweetness". The song was an instant hint and achieved #1 on the 10 music charts shortly after release. The song also won awards during that year at the Gaon Chart K-pop Awards, Melon Music Awards, and the Seoul Music Awards.
In 2013, San E left JYP Entertainment where he later signed with Brand New Music. In late 2018, San E made a series of controversial remarks about feminism. Due to the controversy, Brand New Music terminated his contract on December 6th, 2018.
