On October 31st, MBC announced that upcoming drama "Season of Kokkdu" will suspend filming following the passing of cast member Lee Ji Han.
Lee Ji-han died in the 'Itaewon crushing disaster' that occurred on the 29th. The agency 935 Entertainment said, "It is heartbreaking to greet you with sad news. Our precious family member, Lee Ji Han, became a star in the sky and left us. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families who are deeply saddened by the sudden tragedy and to all those who love, cherish and mourn with Lee Ji Han. We will remember for a long time the image of Lee Ji Han, who shone beautifully with his hot passion. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased on his last journey."
"Season of Kokkdu" is a romance-fantasy drama that tells the story of grim reaper Kokkdu, who comes down to this world to punish humans, but meets a doctor with a unique ability. The main leads include Im Soo Hyang (My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Woori the Virgin) and Kim Jung Hyun (Welcome to Waikiki, Mr. Queen). Lee Ji Han took on the role of Jeong-eun, the ex-boyfriend of the female lead, and continued filming until recently.
Lee Ji Han still has remaining scenes that haven't been filmed. The production has yet to decide how to move forward. They said, "No decision has been made on the actor replacement etc."
In addition, the 'season of kokdu' team plans to visit Lee Ji Han's burial place during the day. They continue filming after reorganization.
