On October 30th, Korean media outlets reported that former Produce 101 Season 2 contestant turned actor Lee Jihan died in the Itaewon disaster on the 29th.
Park Heeseok, Jo Jinhyung, and Kim Dohyun, who appeared on 'Produce 2' together with Lee Jihan, wrote on their Instagram story, "The late Lee Jihan, on October 30, 2022, has left and went to a comfortable place. Please say goodbye to Jihan on his last path."
Kim Dohyun added, "I pray for the repose of all those who passed away in the Itaewon disaster. I dare not part with the hearts of the bereaved families, but I express my deepest condolences."
