On April 28th, IST Entertainment said, "After a long and careful discussion with the members ahead of the expiration of Apink's exclusive contract, Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Kim Namjoo, and Oh Hayoung ended their beautiful 12-year-long journey with the company in late April."
The agency then said, "We recently renewed our contract with Jung Eunji and continued our relationship," adding, "We will greet you through our next work, and we will continue to support her to stand out in various activities."
Apink's team activities will continue. IST Entertainment said, "We promised to maintain our team activities without dissolution as all Apink members have a firm will and affection for the group activities, regardless of whether we sign the contract or not," they added, "We will cooperate with each other after consultation on Apink's future activities and work together to help them protect the team."
Apink made their official debut in 2011 and has been greatly loved by the general public for their hit songs such as 'Mr. Chu' and 'NoNoNo.' The group recently returned with a new album and celebrated their 12th debut anniversary through a fan concert.
